KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
- Responsible for effective administration of a $10 million fleet budget for a National Air Carrier, including technical operations, training, personnel, and equipment upgrades. Budget was maintained or reduced even in times of program enhancements due to cost savings achieved through streamlining of training programs utilizing elements of fleet commonality efficiencies.
- Selected by senior executives to be the Flight Operations representative on team responsible for organizing and coordinating the introduction of a state of the art, fuel-efficient flight planning, weight and balance and takeoff performance system. This system realized safety enhancements and operational improvements measured by audit reviews, flight completions, lower fuel consumption as a result of lower ramp arrival fuel and alternate selection.
- Organized team to develop and implement CAT II/III approval resulting in significant operational efficiencies and fuel savings. Safety was enhanced providing better capabilities to manage lower weather environments as well as improved capabilities for safety alternates upon arrival.
- Partnered with manufacturers and training facilities when seeking GPS and RNAV approvals. Diligence and knowledge in FAA regulation and manufacturer guidance resulted in a $2 million corporate cost savings.
- Named Assistant Emergency Operations Director and Fleet Member of the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP).\
- Selected as one of two pilots for initial qualification on the Embraer 190 aircraft to coordinate a fleet replacement program. This incorporated the development of Flight Crew Operating Manuals, Training Programs, Check Airmen Training and fleet integration. All deadlines were achieved on time or ahead of schedule.
- Expertly managed the safe, cost-effective and efficient operations of 32 corporate aircraft and flight departments, in addition to operational control and financial budgeting of Company FAR Part 135 flight operations.
- Achieved FAA Part 125 certification within 5 months for a Private Charter Company focused on specialty group and sports charters using MD80 aircraft. This involved the development and publications of General Operating Manuals, Aircraft Flight Crew Operating Manuals, Security Manuals, Load Manuals, Ground Service Manuals, Flight Attendant Manuals, All Operational Procedures, and Crew Training Program Development and Approval.
